Announcing the new 2023 FPV Challenges Cup for 2023, and our last name change - we promise!

So first things first. We changed the name again. I know, I know... But I promise this will be the last time. I hope my reasons for changing it one more time will make sense.

We began the journey with the name, "Juicy Style FPV" and a year later the name was changed to "Juicy Style and Extreme FPV". The latter change was in an effort to include more than just "juicy" techniques or flying styles. Terms like "juicy" and "sbang" are descriptors of a specific flying styles and are actually tied to the originators of the name. In the case of "juicy" or "juicy freestyle", this term was originated by 'Johnny FPV'. Sbang is another FPV flying style who's originator is Farouk FPV, a French pilot who is a fan of "Juicy" techniques but wanted to come up with his own style of flying. He came up with the 'Sbang' name and inspired a whole new generation of pilots to adopt his extreme take on freestyle FPV.

Even with the last name change - "Juicy Style and Extreme FPV" - I felt we needed something which doesn't focus on one or several distinct styles, but rather pushes the boundaries and encourages the potential for innovation. Freestyle FPV pilots are known to fly in "Acro" mode, which is short for "Acrobatics" and the vast majority of the tricks we learn are of an extreme nature. "Acrobatix" helps to better describe the entirety of what we do and encourages pilots to express their creative FPV flying without preconceived ideas or disciplines. We are here to pioneer new styles and techniques, and the challenges cup seeks to crown the most accomplished pilot for each season.

Lumpy absolutely killed the 2022 season with his mastery of the quad and innovation in the execution of each challenge. If you want to gain an edge over your fellow competing pilots, pay close attention to the creativity Wil puts into each trick!
